STRIVE TO PROVIDE

We Never Stop Improving

This local private hospital has come a long way from being a medical and surgical not-for-profit centre to a world-class healthcare provider today. Having achieved many accolades, including the Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH) with full certification since 2005, Normah was officially granted the prestigious Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation, the leading healthcare industry benchmark for measuring the delivery of quality improvement  and patient safety in healthcare. NMSC, which has always been close to the heart of the local residents and foreigners, became the only private hospital in Borneo to be awarded JCI Accreditation four times in a row from year 2011-2013, 2014-2017, 2018-2020, 2021-2023. This distinction not only reaffirms NMSC’s commitment to quality and compliance with the highest standard of healthcare services, it also marks another milestone in its endeavour to be the preferred healthcare in the region.

In addition to the primary, family medicine and general specialities, NMSC offers a broad spectrum of secondary and tertiary services provided by its internally credentialed residents and visiting specialists. Included in the list of specialities are orthopaedics, ophthalmology, cardiology and cardiac surgery, general surgery, endoscopic surgery, otorhinolaryngology, psychiatry, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, urology, nephrology, oncology and haematology. NMSC has been conducting open heart surgery since December 1994.

Patient care at NMSC is supported by the 24-hour Accident & Emergency support team which consists of the inhouse pharmacy, blood bank, laboratory / pathology, diagnostic imaging services, lithotripsy and renal dialysis program, and rehabilitation care.

The Pathology Department provides a full testing service and is equipped with a Blood Bank which is supported by blood donor collection programme and component processing service.

Besides the routine radiological services, the Diagnostic Imaging unit provides high-tech imaging and is well-equipped with 256-slice Advance MSCT, 1.5 Tesla MRI, Mammography, X-Ray, ultrasound, orthopantomagram, cephalometric and Densitometry services.

The core of NMSC's services is its commitment to quality in healthcare in accordance to the International Patient Safety Goals. This is evidenced by its achievment of the coveted full accreditation by Malaysia Society of Quality in Health (MSQH) and Joint Commission International (JCI).
