Each new year brings the promise of a new beginning and wishes for happiness and prosperity. We all know that promises and wishes do not become reality without the genuine effort of the people that make them. At Normah, we seek everyday to ensure that all members of the staff fulfill our promise to you to meet your healthcare needs with compassion and expertise that moves us toward our vision of being the preferred healthcare provider in the region.

Leading our progress this year are new Clinical and Administrative teams from our experienced staff with many years of service at NMSC. Inside you will find photos of the new members of the Management, Operations and Clinical Advisory Committees. All are well positioned to continue the Normah philosophy and practice that service and care of the patient is the highest priority.

The focus of the clinical articles in this first issue for 2004 is on the Nephrology and Urology Division. Our Consultant Urologist presents an excellent article on the often misunderstood condition of erectile dysfunction. The Consultant Nephrologist provides an article about the available options after kidney failure. In this issue, he will touch upon the treatment option of haemodialysis. In the later issues, the topics of peritoneal dialysis and kidney transplantation will be covered. Lastly, there is a coverage on health screening promotion, one of our activities in the business development division led by George Then.
