Growing old can be eventful. The trail is treacherous and the pitfalls are many. One is wise to be prepared .You know it is coming. It is not like you are blazing a trail as you grow older. Look around you. If growing old catches you by surprise, do not blame anyone. We were given lots of warning and ample opportunities to learn.

Features in this issue take you through a few public forums organized and facilitated by Normah, covering both men and women’s health. Osteoporosis, Hormone Replacement Therapy, Prostate Disorders, to name but a few, are all useful information on conditions we should know and understand especially for those who are over the hill! Being informed is one of the best ways you can protect your health............so keep up with it.

“Kidney Transplantation” completed the 3 parts article by our Consultant Nephrologist, Dr. William Chau on “When Your kidneys Fail, What Are Your Options?” For most of us, what is also very important is to know how to prevent kidney failure.

Don’t forget to read right to the last page. “Woman Wellness Programme” may not sound as thrilling as getting a super bargain from a store, but it was put together for the well being of discerning women who are conscious of good health. Our student nurses did us proud, demonstrating their care in action by helping out the SCCS (Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society) recently.
