This course can be tailored to the needs of specific groups and individuals. It is usually combined with Heart Saver CPR course for another day.

First aid training has now become virtually indispensable to industry and an active social life.

What is first aid?
First aid is the initial management of a suddenly sick or injured person. It is the care administered by a bystander as soon as possible after an accident or illness. It is this prompt care and attention prior to the arrival of the ambulance that sometimes means the difference between life and death, full or partial recovery, or between temporary or permanent disability.

The main aims of first aid are:

  • To preserve life
  • To protect the casualty from further harm
  • To relieve pain
  • To promote recovery

First aid has limitations, as not everybody is a paramedic or doctor, but it is an essential and vital element of the total medical system. First aid saves lives!

Intended Audience
Daycare providers, concerned citizens, corporate first aid providers, general industry workers.

Some of the Content include:

  • Principles of First-Aid
