Outpatient services include antenatal care, Pap smear screening, colposcopy, pelvic ultrasound scanning, Pipette endometrial sampling and urodynamic studies.

Maternity services include 24 hours cover for normal as well as emergency Caesarean deliveries, and epidural (pain-free delivery) services. A Special Care Baby Unit is available for premature babies.

Common gynaecological operations performed include dilatation and curettage, hysterectomy, vaginal repair, sterilization, myomectomy, ovarian cystectomy, Burch’s colposuspension and laparoscopic procedures.

Gynaecological oncological services are supported by the medical Oncology unit in Normah. Basic and second level infertility services are available at Normah. When assisted reproductive techniques (IVF, ICSI) are required, referral to a visiting consultant would be arranged.
