Neurosurgery

Neurosurgery involves treatment of diseases affecting the brain, spinal cord and nerves using predominantly surgical means. Examples of such diseases include brain tumours, blood clots in brain, occlusion of blood vessels and trapped nerves. In addition, traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries do form a significant proportion of the work of any neurosurgical unit.

Normah has a fully qualified Neurosurgeon to handle such technologically demanding treatments. This is backed up by the up to-date neuro-imaging techniques (CT & MRI), operating equipment and intensive care facilities. In addition, the human touch by the high trained nursing staff, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and other support staff plays a very important role in the rehabilitation of neurosurgical patients.
